Miniature ruler on retina display. PT10/Mavericks

Well, I bit the bullet & upgraded to Mavericks. I uninstalled pro tools first, installed Mavericks after repairing disk/permissions, then did a new install of 10.3.8. I'm running into a very strange issue with the graphics. I have a 15" retina MBP hooked up to a Thunderbolt display. After the upgrade, everything still looks fine on the external display. However, if I drag the windows to my built in display, they go completely white. No graphics remain in them at all. After quitting / restarting PT with the windows already assigned to that display, they open fine.....except on the retina display. For some reason, the ruler is coming up incredibly small and the playhead seems to be missing:







I know this is a strange one, has anyone else experienced this?
