ProTools on MacBook Pro OS 10.8 mountain lion

Hi I am new here. How can I get protools working on my MacBook Pro laptop? I bought my laptop in 2007 and I am currently running OS X 10.8. I have protools 001 hardware and I am using protools 5.1 that I am using on my desktop mac g4 quicksilver. Am I able to use the old digidesign m micro USB stick with my system so protools 5.1 software works on my laptop? Please help... I just want to be able to edit my tracks in my laptop. Is another option to get the mbox? I just want to be able to edit my tracks when I travel and then be able to open in my desktop when needed!
