Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 Adaptor

Thinking about going with an iMac. But I have an MBox Pro 3rd Gen that is a Firewire 400/800 as my interface with Pro Tools 11. iMac utilizes USB3 and Thunderbolt.

I know Pro Tools can be finicky with things. Would that work well for me?
