Thought this was pretty clever, so I have to brag, but maybe some of you can improve my workflow. At the end of the mix of the regular version of my TV show, I have to send out many alternate versions rapidly (commercial breaks in different places, daytime, primetime, split, continuous...).
Option 1: finish the first mix, conform all of my source tracks to the alternate formats, re-record all the stems. (Difficult, boring and fraught with risk)
Option 2: finish the first mix, conform my stems to the alternate formats, consolidate and deliver. (Better)
Option 3: before I finish the first mix, bounce rough stems, conform those stems to the alternate formats, and then destructively punch, automatically updating all the alternate program formats as I work since they're all pulling from the same audio files. Hee hee. :D
