(marker-like) lines based on cuts/edits in video

I am constantly finding the frame where a cut occurs in the video so I can mix a perspective shift in, or get a music cue in the right place. The other day I was in a color-correct session and my jaw dropped when I saw that the software could accurately analyze where the cuts where in a contiguous piece of video. Really useful.
