cpu error

I am starting to get really annoyed at Avid and Pro Tools. I have been a user since Pro Tools 7 and have always had one issue or another. I always assumed i need a more powerful computer and it was my fault. So on to the current issue.

My specs:

- Mac mini late 2012

- 6gb/s SSD boot drive (attached to motherboard)

- 7200rpm record drive Western Digital scorpio (attached to motherboard)

- 16GB Ram

- i7 Sandy Bridges 3.2GHz

- Protools 11.3 Latest update

- Mac OSX 10.10 Yosemite latest update

- turned off internet

- 96kHz / 24bit session

- 2 tracks +master

- 1 EQ (Native instruments)

- 1 Limiter (Pro Tools)

The Error when "Bounce To Disk" : Ran Out of CPU Power. (AAE -9173)

After Error occurs and i attempt to bounce again, it sounds super distorted and digitally ugly/wrong. I then quit Pro Tools and start again. The Track remains very slightly distorted at this point and will get super ugly again once error occurs again.

Considering this is a mastering project with very minimal tracks and plugins (with no automation), I don't understand why Pro Tools can't keep up. I am tired of blaming myself and my computer's power, since now my computer is more powerful than ever before and AAX plugins take up less CPU than RTAS ever did.

In past versions I have heard similar sounds when doing multitrack mixing sessions. some native plugins would crackle until i did a restart. Makes me want to go back to using 2" Tape! and outboard gear! =-)

So... How do i solve this problem? What is the problem and what is the fix?

Thanks!
