MBox Pro, Not able to get any signal input from front panel

I have an MBox Pro and when I plug the mic into the front panel I get no input from the mic, now I've made sure that the front selector is on and I have phantom power, but I get nothing...when I switch to the back panel it works fine. I've tried to use a different phantom pwr source and that didn't work, a preamp, that didn't work, but I'm able to get signal in the back..could it be that my front panel is defective and might need repair, or is there some settings I need to make..also I get not headphone audio and I can only get signal from channels 1 and 2 from the back panel (I've tried the xlr inputs on the back for 3 and 4, no signal there either)...I'm stumped...HELP!!!!:confused:
