Need Help, Cant connect focusrite Scarlett 6i6 to PTLE8

I've just got a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 interface and wanted to connect it to my pro tools le 8, but i don't have the option when i try to add it to my O/I. I know that you can't open PTLE8 without the mbox, but i wanted to know if there was a way to add this interface on top of my mbox mini. I would really like to keep using pro tools since i've been going to school learning on the software, but should i just try a different Software? or upgrade to a more recent PT version.
