I will finally be adding a 64-bit PC to my home studio and upgrading to PT11. I have an 11R too.
Now, 64-bit OS (Win 8.1) can run 32-bit apps, but is there any disadvantage to that (other than speed?) Is it undesirable in that 32-bit apps can introduce instability or something?
Anything I need to know/decisions to make before I start setting up new PC?
Obviously, I will make Avid recommended tweaks. (Two harddrives, etc.)
