I'd like everyone's take on bouncing a track with say 5 or 7 FX plugins on your track, say compression, eq, reverbs n delays etc...
What is the correct level to do this?
I've yet to find any YouTube videos on this subject to my surprise.
I try and record my original tracks at -18db. When I add FX plugins on Aux track, my level shoots into yellow at times.
I tried bouncing track with FX plugins and if I print bounce at -18db the track sounds way too soft.
To get same loudness vibe I have to print track hitting yellow half the time. I'm thinking this cant be right.
Is it rule of thumb to bounce track with FX plugins on Aux track down to audio track? Or put FX plugins on audio track and bounce to another audio track?
And aging most importantly. What is the correct level for bouncing?
Please help.
Thanks
