My Fast Track C600 behaves strangely since I bought it. Every now and then it simply stops working. Now sound output, but all application that rely on sound - audio players, video player, YouTube in a browser, stop playing (they continue to work, buffering data, but that's all). The only solution seemed to be unplugging the interface and plugging it back which was bringing everything back to normal.
Unfortunately hot-plugging also lead to frequent system crashes so I looked for another workaround which work for me now - I simply right click on the volume icon in the tray and activate playback devices list. Then I simply disable C600 and enable it again to get everything working again.
I have no idea what can be a problem - is it my hardware/software combination (Windows 7 Ultimate, btw), or my is my unit defective?
Needles to say, that drivers updates didn't change anything. Any ideas?
