Here is what I am trying to figure out. Back in the day I had a young version of pro-tools and a Korg Triton. I was able to take a Combi voice and isolate the drum track that was looped and record using Midi.
Today, I have a Pro-Tools 11. I have a Korg Kronos and I want to do the same thing. I can record Audio fine, I can record Midi notes played fine but the loops are no where to be found on MIDI. From what I remember, I used to set my old Triton to global MIDI off and select the MIDI tracks the drums were assigned to and grab them.
Well, I think that is how I did it. The reason I ask is I want to lay down those mix beats in midi then I am able to strip out certain parts or add certain items then once complete bounce to a Audio Track. Does any one know that proper settings I need to used on my Kronos to get it to transport the MIDI Karma Loops and let Pro Tools grab that info?
Thanks in advance.
