Using Fast Track Duo to play audio from computer crackling

When I try to play audio from my computer, not a DAW such as pro tools, the audio playing through my monitors crackle. When playing audio out of pro tools, the sound is crystal clear. I've tried updating drivers, using different USB ports,etc. and I get the same results. Does anybody have any suggestions or fixes to this problem? Does anyone else have this issue?
