Just for kicks, I was trying to emulate a great Angus Young tone on an AC / DC tune called Rock and Roll Train.
I got ridiculously close with the 11 Rack using '64 Black Panel Lux (Fender Deluxe) cranked with the matched speaker cab and added a little low end boost from the EQ pedal in the effects rack. Used a Gretsch 6130 Round for the guitar. Two of my friends who would tell me straight were astonished at how close it was.
I then went a little further and removed the "Lux" Cab from the sequence in the 11R and inserted the Guitar Rig Plugin into the track. Started to experiment with a number of different cabs and mics that they had to offer. I really think that Komplete just has better cab emulations. Really just took off the harshness of the 11R. Not that it was bad to begin with but I really think some of you will like it you have it in your arsenal.
