Getting Avid Omni Optical S/MUX Port B Working

Hi all I'm confused.

I have connected 2 light pipes from Audient ASP880 to my Omni for a 96KHz sample rate PT session.

S/mux input is correct ADAT S/MUX 1-2 3-4 5-6 7-8. (pairs) in PT hardware set up.

I'm clocking the Audient from my Omni. This just saves me from having to switch the sample rates on the Audient for different sessions.

I would like to record all 8 inputs at 96KHz, but Omni only see's 4 inputs 1 to 4. Not 5 to 8 in a 96KHZ session.

Up to 48khz with 8 channels in a PT session works fine. (With one light pipe).

Has anyone heard of anyone having similar problem?

Obviously my initial thought Is Omni's second optical input is Kaput!

I have reinstalled Avid firmware for Omni. Just a thought.

Tried 7 different optical cables and set ups, but no use. Checked Omni input for dust or rubber caps etc....nothing in there!

Any advice would be great, is there anything else I am missing here? Apart from a fully working Omni :)

Thanks Darryl for your input so far I have tried all that you have mentioned.

Much appreciated, but it seems I may need to send unit off for a repair.
