Well something came up yesterday that I had not heard before. Running PT 8.05LE on 10.6.8 with digi003 interface. we went all digital in December on Wheatnet blades with audioarts boards and using spdif.
after recording some voiceovers heard this low level grunge or distortion on playback. Today we recorded and external source of some quiet classical music and heard the same thing. I trashed all the prefs, rebooted the board, mac, the mic processors and no change. We then changed the clock from internal to spdif and voila problem gone! anyone else experience this?
The goofy thing is have had the studios up and running since early december and I am pretty sure I would have heard this before but didn't. I have always used the internal clock with digi stuff and never had issues in the past.
