Sluggish UI during playback after upgrade to PT11

I recently upgraded to PT 11.3.1 - I still have PT 10 running on the same machine - and the UI is incredibly glitchy and sluggish during playback. Faders jump in chunks while dragging. The same goes for knobs in plug-ins. It doesn't seem to matter if the session has a ton of tracks/plug-ins or if it has just a few tracks. I'm not seeing any spikes in CPU or memory. The UI works fine when playback is stopped. And I haven't noticed any audio glitches yet, although I haven't used PT11 much yet due to the UI weirdness. PT 10 still works fine on the same machine.



I'm on a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz i5 with 8 GB of RAM.



Any ideas? Is there a setting for UI update frequency or prioritization? I've searched the forums but wasn't able to come up with anything useful.
