Alright, so, I want to start recording and I'd like to get the latest version, 12, but I'm scared of all the complicated payment options. I want to purchase the software and be done with it. I don't want to have to pay hundreds of dollars every year just to be able to use pro tools. Does pro tools 11 allow you to just buy the cd, install it and never pay for anything else unless you want to upgrade?
I've used pro tools a few years ago while recording in a studio and it was awesome, I'm not sure which version it was, so I wanted to get it myself rather than to keep using audacity or to purchase some inferior product. There's just so many options that it's confusing. Thanks in advance.
