clarification on the "Pad" and a question on the true z

Hello all, I want to say I promise not to be difficult this time right off the bat. I apologize for last time, as I see how I was being difficult. :o

After reading the user manual.

It is my understanding that the guitar input (True-Z) does impedance matching to the amp (if its the first in your effects chain) other wise the first effect dictates the impedance.

"Most" of my guitars (atm) have active pickups, I see it recommends a 1m (1megaohm) setting. I also see it says you can experiment with them to come up with your own sounds. I just want to make sure that when changing the input impedance while everything is running would not create loud pops, or anything that may damage speakers, or if I would have to power down my monitors before I change that setting. Or if changing the impedance manually would change the over-all volume coming out of the 11r very much.

I am a bit of a worry wort on this, as I just got my monitors not long ago, and just got my 11r, so I am essentially "babying" all my equipment. I just went to the 11r, coming from an old Line 6 Pod x3, so there are definitely some differences.

I want to also make sure that the PAD switch "ONLY" affects the mic input, cause it kinda seems like it doesn't make any difference on the guitar input according to the manual. I don't have my guitars available to test this just yet so figured I would ask this along with the impedance (change in real time) worry I had.

Thanks in advance.
