Pro Tools and Mac OS X versions

I originally bought PT 8.0.3 and was running it on OS X 10.6.8 (snow leopard). No worries!

Until I did the infamous upgrade to 10.9.2 (maverick).

Looking at the Avid info, it seems that (as of 1/4/2014) neither PT 10 nor PT 11 will work with the 10.9.2. Avid does go on to say, as of 2/3/2014 that PT 11.03 and higher will work with maverick, but they only reference maverick 10.9.1 not .2.

So I don't think an upgrade to any version of PT 10 will work with the OS I have now. Unless there's something newer out there.

This makes me kinda nuts.

I've been all over looking at system compatibility to see my options at this point, which, I think, are to erase, then install another OS, or partition my drive and install another OS on the new spot. As I understand it.

Looking at the OS versions I'm seeing (I think) that version OS X 10.7.5 would support my current M Audio 2626, and PT 10 versions 10.3.2 through 10.3.8. Meaning I could install that, upgrade to PT 10.3.2 or higher, and keep my 2626. Sound right?

Do you know if 10.7.5 would run my current version PT 8.0.3?

I see a lot of conflict in crosstalk in the various communities out there, as well as some Avid info that's not totally clear.

Thanks.
