SC48 footswitches and Tap delay

I see there are 2 footswitches on the SC48... I was using them to switch between Stage inputs and Protools playback... Has anyone ever had any luck assigning them to separate delays so you can have 2 delays and be able to set different tap delays into each? I like to be able to update on the fly in the middle of a song for a short and a long delay...
