I recorded a guitar track and played it back and got a static-like sound in playback. I opened the recorded audio file in quicktime and it sounds fine.
I understand there are issues with MAVERICKS and PT 8.0.5 but fortunately, I am have had none. I have recorded and editing tracks since the MAVS upgrade. I think the static-noise in the playback may be related to something else.
