Trying to Avoid DAE Error 9073

As most of everyone knows, this 9073 error has plagued a lot of PT users and I've heard solutions ranging from new HD's to replacing firewire cable. I myself have been having this issue and it's been a minor menace for most of my tracks. But I'm a progressive rock artist so my tracks can get large in numbers and astronomical in length. I have this 14 minute beast with dozens of tracks that the 9073 error has been holding back on the bounce. I couldn't bounce the track because 30 seconds into the process the error would appear. But then I bought a new 3tb Seagate drive and copied just the audio files for this song. Now I'm not getting the error.

Now some people have complained about getting this error with particular brands of drives and even brands of cables. Assuming that buffer speed is nominal and the machine has plenty of power, are there really certain pieces of hardware to avoid when using PT?

BTW, I'm on PT 10.3.7 and my specs are as follows:

Intel I5 2400

16gb DDR3 RAM

Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200rpm HD for OS

Seagate Barracuda 3tb 7200rpm HD for audio files

I'd submit a sandra report but since the problem seems to have been narrowed down here I'm not going to bother.
