Hi everyone
So I have seen this topic go around quite a bit but for the life of me I'm still battling to get a solution on this. Here is my problem..
Open Xpand2 in Pro tools and my patches are blank. Now, it asks me to locate Xpand.Big which is where the problem comes into play
There are two folders that have the Xpand2.big file. One is Avid/avidvirtualinstruments/xpand2 AND Digidesign/protoolscollection/xpand2
Now before I only had the Avid/avidvirtualinstruments/xpand2 and was constantly sending Xpand to this folder when ever it asked me. Patches load up and everything seems ok. except when I go back into Xpand it asked me again and then Pro tools crashes. This is when I brought in the Digidesign/protoolscollection/xpand 2 from my old pro tools 9, since Xpand2 was used to locating the Xpand2.big file from this root. I thought it would be ok.
Well sadly not :(
Does anyone have any help on this? Am I missing something here or is this a serious problem that a lot of Pro tools 10 users are having?
Many thanks
