AAE Error -9060 Message

This my first post on any forum, anywhere! I hope this is a good experience.



I am new to sound recording but am keen to get started. I have purchased Protools 11.1.2. After some early difficulties with ASIO device properties I managed to get Protools to open a new session. Now, when I arm a new track (16 Bit and 44.1kHz) and hit record I get the following message: "AAE error -9060 was encountered". I have searched the More Info on the error message itself, Knowledge Base, troubleshooting, this forum and APAC sites and am not able to find this error code let alone how to fix it. I have tried a number of ways to record including Create New Session from Template; Create Blank Session and Open session, all lead to the same message.



The last attempt to record ended with this message when I went to close the program: "Could not complete the Exit command because Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x00000586DD407988"



I am using Protools 11.1.2 and a recently purchased Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface.



Any help to get started would be much appreciated.
