bugs in Mbox Pro 3rd Firewire drivers?

Hi all,

after upgrading from Mbox pro 3rd firewire drivers 1.3 to the current 1.3.1 (from Mar 24, 2014) my Mbox stopped working in most parts and showed very crazy effects:

- sound was "bad" (had to put the volume up to the end to "hear something")

- buttons react very slow to none. Moving volume wheel reacts very slow (takles up to 5 seconds to "follow" with a volume change)

- box initialization failed with red clip lines left in the Mbox Mixer Tool in the first 4 inputs

- box is silence from time to time after init - i have to load a Mixer setup file to "unmute"

After installing the "old" 1.3 version it "worked" again, but:

I've upgraded from 1.3. because sometimes the box does not initialize correctly. The Mbox mixer seems to hang and/or the box gives out crackling / broken audio - after restarting the Mbox or/and the Mac it usually works then. It "feels" like the audio stream is to slow / capacities small.

I run a LaCie Firewire Hard Disk (Desktop version)) on the Firewire bus between the Mac and the Mbox used for time machine and sample library. The effects under 1.3 seems happen even if there is no i/o to the Disk but i assume it may be related to my firewire setup.

My env:

- Mac Book pro 6,1 with

- Mac OS 10.9.2 (current - 64bit)

- PT11 and 10 plus used with Coreaudio

- MBox Pro 3rd Firewire (on Firewire bus with a current LaCie Hard Disk)

May be this helps you to improve further driver versions in any way.

thanx for your time and

best regards,

Niels Dettenbach.
