Has anyone solved the MacBook Pro Retina iLok problem?

I'm about to chuck PT and go Logic even though I hate every single thing about it...I just cannot parse how PT can leverage their whole platform on as shaky a thread as iLok is. I literally never know when iLok will decide to allow me to work- it seems to know when I'm on a deadline and simply refuses to start no matter what I do. The only way it ever works reliably is when I'm at home on my powered USB hub. When I'm mobile its a complete crapshoot every single %$(@$-ing time- it will work sometimes after 2 restarts and having changed the various USB 2 hubs and ports I'm forced to carry...if anyone has a reliable workaround I'm offering a testicle in exchange.
