Help! cant apply plugins in on tracks

Hi guys,



I new with protools. I just installed protools 11 on my Mcbook pro the other day and I am trying to do a mix thats due tomorrow. everythings working it seems, however, i duno if Im doing something wrong but when i click on insert it says theres no sends.

I can open the plugins via the audiosuite tab on top but only open cant apply to anything. so can someone pls pls help me…. its rather annoying! coz at school i just simply click on insert in the mixer window and i can choose away.



what am i doing wrong or not doing?
