Hello,
I have a question regarding Pro Tools 11 for Windows 64 bit:
My System:
• Approved Intel X58 chipset based motherboard
• Intel i7 950 3.06Ghz Quad Core Processor
• 6GB DDR3 1333mhz Memory
• ATI RADEON 5450 Video Card 1GB - Dual DVI
• 750GB SATA II 3.0Gb/s 64mb cache Hard Drive (OS)
• 2 x 1TB SATA II 3.0Gb/s 64mb cache Hard Drive (Media)
• Genuine Microsoft OS Windows 7 Pro - 32bit or 64bit
Here's the deal:
I merged my Windows 7 64 bit- with two RME AES 32 cards and two Aurora 16's - studio with a studio that used to use PT10HD.
He has a great studio facility, but only had 16 A/D and 2 D/A and no hardware. I didn't have a great facility, but have tons of great hardware gear- API 2500, Smart C2, UA 1176/LA-2A. Distressors, Bricasti etc. etc along with my 32 inputs and outputs..
A perfect marriage, right?
Anyway, he wants to keep using Pro Tools. So, I bought Pro Tools 11 for Windows. I have read numerous threads here about the lack of Asio Direct Monitoring in Pro Tools, but I do not know what the threshold is for when performers start to hear latency in their headphones.
If someone can tell me what the threshold is, and what the workaround is if there is one I'd appreciate it.
