Hey Guys, I've been a PT owner for about 6 years now and love it.
My system...
Pro tools 11, Acer, 3.4 with turbo boost to 3.9, i7, quad core, windows 8, 12gigs of processing memory and 1TB of hard drive space, 64 bit system.
Novation impulse 49 midi controller, Steinberg UR-44 24-bit interface, USB Gear Head 4-slot hub, 2TB Seagate external hard drive.
So, I'm receiving error code is "aae 6"
Assertion in "../Mdie_TrackPlayer.cpp". line 479 and "AAE error 6"
I've read prior related data on the internet based on this issue that said to remove certain data files, but when I followed his path the folders are named different and I am afraid of erasing important files. So, I went ahead and completely un-installed Pro Tools and then re-installed it and it played fine for an entire night, than the next morning I get this this "aae error 6" message...I'm lost at this point. I've had this problem for about a week now, I am not new to Pro Tools and love this version, but I'm at the peak of my knowledge. Could you pro's give me a hand???
I have Pro Tools installed on the C-drive of the computer, but I save all my recordings to the external hard drive...is this a logical method of installation?? Or should I store everything on my external hard drive??
I wasn't bouncing any type of files in PT while I received these messages, but I have bounced recently. Basically, this prior gentleman got this while he was bouncing, but all I was doing was listening to music...just a note.
Update, I recently uninstalled pro tools off my system or I thought I did and now I cannot even install it, the computer just stops thinking and at times it wont even turn off. Can someone please give me a hand I would greatly appreciate your help. Is any of this going to affect my computer because It's brand new?
Thank you
