some hd native upgrade questions

Hi Im going to upgrade to HD native with I/o 16*16



I see they sell each much component cheaper on ebay compared to purchase complete package at vintage king og sweetwater. any cons with purchasing software , card and interface separate on ebay to save some bucks? Does it have something to do with registration and customer support from avid? Im in europe btw. its the same if I buy the system in europe regarding support?

currently Im using a digi 002. Is there any way to use a punch in/out footswitch with a HD native system?
