Superior Drummer?

OK, so this Superior Drummer sale is looking very nice. I asked Audio Deluxe if the $179 price was the same for cross-grading and got some ambiguous response. However, it's still cheaper than normal paying current full price than the normal cross-grade price when the sale ends.



I have a few questions for my fellow PT users. As a bit of background to describe how I use it now, I create the song's drum parts in the Song Creator in EZD2, export the MIDI and print the individual tracks based on the channels in the EZD2 mix window. It's within PT that I do my final mixing.



Given that.....



#1: If I do my mixing in PT, do I lose on a lot of Superior's functionality or "magic"? (in other words, would it be less of a value if I do not use the SD Mix window?)



#2: I'm digging the SDX Roots packs based on what (admittedly) little I've seen. Will these work in EZD2? If so, is the sound quality good, or is much lost going through what little EZD2 exposes? (I'm thinking about just getting the 2 SDXs for now.)



#3: How has the latest version of SD been doing in PT-11.X(.x)? I remember there was some disgruntlement a while back.....



#4: Some VI & plug-in development companies have histories of these types of sales happening a few times a year. any reason to suspect that we will see another sale before year's end?
