So, after giving up my studio for 8 years so my kids could have a room, I am finally back and upgrading from Pro Tools 5.1 to 11.2.1! I replaced my Digi 001 with a Mbox Pro 3. Needless to say, I am very rusty at this techie stuff. I spent all day yesterday downloading and installing software, hooking up cables, etc. and finally got everything working. Today, I unplugged my old keyboard from the Xbox Pro to move it to a different stand and re-plugged it in exactly as before, and now when I go to record in Pro Tools, it is not recognizing anything from the Mbox: no signal coming into the track; playing through the Mac speakers instead of my studio monitors. The Mbox 3 is receiving the inputs, and when I plug a guitar into the Mbox 3, I hear it on the monitors. I thought that maybe I knocked the Mbox's firewire cable out from the back of the Mac or something, but it's still in there (although it doesn't fit great -- I had to put the weird little adaptor on the cable to fit the firewire port on my 2009 iMac). Any ideas? I really appreciate it!
Oh, I forgot to mention that I did go into the Mbox control panel software at some point and enable master fader for outputs 1-2 and 3-4.
