Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there could help with a problem I'm having with the Headphone 1 output on the Fast Track C600. There is a distinct difference between the balance of the left and right channels. The overall effect is that the left channel is outputting a normal level whereas the right channel is heavily muted.
The problem does not appear on the main outputs nor does it happen on the second headphone channel. Software monitoring shows an equal output with pink noise and A 440 test.
The jacks are on PCB connectors and they were quickly swapped round and the problem still occurred.
Drivers are up to date although, this issue was occurring before updating the OS and the drivers.
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro10,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Also, when changing the jacks over there was nothing immediately obvious that had blown on the board.
As a result of all this, USB powered monitoring is not possible since headphone 2 is only active on mains power. A minor hinderance though it would be nice to see it sorted.
Thanks for reading guys,
Cochrane.
PS. This all leads me to believe it is either a DAC/Firmware problem or the headphone pre-amp has failed at some point. However, if someone could expand on this then that would be wonderful.
