protools 8.0.5 not opening with windows 8

I recently updated pt7.4le to pt8.0.3 then updated to pt 8.0.5 on this new hp notebook pc when I hit the pt icon on the desktop screen pt appears to begin to load up and all it says is loading... with a circle spinning in the logo I let it spin for a whole night thinking something may change when I wake up I have to hit ctrl alt del for the task manager and it says pt 32 bit not responding ive uninstalled and reinstalled first without the mbox2 in the usb port then after I was about to install the update I inserted the mbox2 had no errors during the install but it will not get past the first loading screen where it says loading

please help...
