There's a film mix for cinema. Now the client wants a quick & dirty mix with reduced dynamics for home use.
I know it's not the way to go...
But if there's no time for doing a real remix, and no one cares much:
I wonder if there is a easy way to do some kind of compression like it's done in a AC3 decoder. I guess it would involve up-compression/parallel-compression because silent parts get louder?
Maybe someone already did this and knows a good setting?
