Audio Noise

Hi, I have a question about audio noise in protools, I have record some dialogues direct to Protools, then I need to export to Premiere to fit into the video. The recorded audio are in standard level around -12db and I would like to increase to -6db. There are two ways I am wondering which one is better



First one, Export WAV to Premiere then increase to -6 dB in Premiere

Second one, Increase to -6dB in Protools then export WAV





I ask this question because someone said there would be more noise if you increase dB in Premiere.
