Commercial mixes??

Just wondering if it's possible to get a home/project studio mix to sound as good as a commercial one. Hoping all the pros on here can chime in and give there views :)



Reason why I bring this up is because my mixes I feel are getting better, and better all the time but are always lacking that commercial polish and punch. Am I chasing something that can never be, should I just except that commercial mixes are done in million dollar studios, with million dollar engineers and million dollar equipment :)
