General Reverb Question

Hi All,

I've been thinking about Reverbs a bit lately, and this Black Friday sale thing has caused me to increase thoughts to that end. There's a pretty big sale through Audio Deluxe on Lexicon Reverbs. Waves also has their Convolution Reverb on sale and in a few packages that'd be stupid not to get if I went with that reverb. Soooo, the questions.

#1: Is the Waves IR-L Convolution Reverb a gimmicky item, or is it a really good product?

#2: Is Lexicon really the "gold standard" as far as reverbs around?

#3: Is this a situation where I'll get all I'm looking for if I went with one or the other, or is it a situation where there compliment each other kind of thing. Something like, "no good Home Project Studio should be without either of these".

#4: I do have the two Softube Reverbs - the TSAR-1 and the TSAR-1R. Does this make me fairly well covered or are they unique enough from the rest and only fit certain niches?

The Lexicon reverbs I have been thinking of are one of the two bottom bundles listed. I think they will run in PT-11 native, but will have to verify.

Thanks in advance.

A little back-ground for perspective in case you wish to read:

My Reverb skills and knowledge are on the low side, but is getting better. My current main go to reverb is the Softube TSAR1. It's been leaning it doing well as of late. It's supposed to be one of the better ones out there. I'm sure I still have much to learn on it and with general concepts of Reverb to begin with. Watching a Reverb Tutorial again is high up on my list.

I also have the Native instrument's Komplete 9 Ultimate bundle, which includes a couple of reverbs that I think are supposed to emulate a couple of the Lexicons. Not sue how those stack up with the real thing, and probably have not fired one up in months.

Aside from that, I have vey little in the way of after-market reverbs.
