Help desperately needed.

Seriously I am about to crack...



Heres the situation.



I have PT9 running on Mavericks 10.9.5 (I know its not supported)



Has been working fine for months.



Suddenly it starts crashing whenever I click 'save'. I think this may have started because I bought an older Novation controller and installed the auto map software. Its the only thing I can think of. Anyway Ive uninstalled auto map but the problem persists.



Now I know I should probably upgrade to PT11 and now is a good time given the deal on offer and Im prepared to do that as it seems I have to.



Problem is (and this is where Im confused as all hell) I upgraded from PT8 to PT9 last year. I did this by buying PT9 from a guy on ebay. The ilok account was all transferred to my name EXCEPT the user ID which is still his name (email address actually).



And for some reason, my Avid account says I am still on PT8. It hasn't recognised 9. Why not?



So what do I do here???



Do I have to try to get his ID changed to mine? Would that change my status with Avid?





There seems to be a different procedure upgrading from 8 than there is from 9. So I don't know what to do. If I log into avid and buy the upgrade from 8 will I have to buy another ilok? Then what happens to the upgrade to 9 I already bought?



Or do I somehow (can't figure out how) get my ilok account to align with my avid account?



What is my best option here.



Please help. This is driving me crazy trying to figure it all out.
