How to change e-mail preferences to hear about future updates

After a lot of time spent trawling these forums, I'm convinced that all my problems getting my new pro tools (Pro Tools 10 / 11 + mBox Pro 3rd Gen) up and running are due to incompatibility with our computers' OS. Two computers in our house, one of which is running Mavericks 10.9.5, and one which is running Yosemite. I've tried 10, tried 11, tried downgrading to an earlier OS, which is apparently virtually impossible from Yosemite. ARGH! APPLE!



It's exceedingly furstrating to have thought that I was upgrading (from my Digi 002 + Pro Tools 7) only to end up with an unfunctioning studio. Those of us with new computers are just totally out of luck here.



Now I know I should have looked more carefully at WHICH versions of Mavericks were supported... Hindsight is 20/20.



However, here I am, and now I just need to know, how can I make sure I am notified right away as soon as a new update comes out? My gear is going to be unusable until then. I can't figure out how to access account preferences to make sure I am signed up for e-mail notifications of updates. Help?



I really don't blame Avid for any of this, I'm just really frustrated that I have now "upgraded" from a functioning studio to one that doesn't work, all due to Apple's unrelentingly fast push towards the new...
