Hey Folks,
I travel in a praise and worship band and we do tracks mixed with live music. I have a Presonus Studiolive 16 channel board, a focusrite itrack solo, and an ipod touch that I have been playing those tracks through (ipod out to itrack solo input...itrack solo output rca to mic pre of the mixer).
I don't like using the tape deck because I like being able to apply effects and eq to the tracks when plugged into a channel.
I recently bought a macbook pro and am looking for better ideas on how to run sound tracks on stage with it. I've always heard running out of a headphone jack is much poorer quality than using an interface for conversion first. Do you all agree? How would you run these tracks?
I am thinking about running my tracks through pro tools (I saw a guy doing that once), but I'm just so afraid that a buffer error might happen in the middle of a set!
What would you all do in my situation?
Thanks.
