Hello there everybody,
I've been wondering and searching, not only in the forums, as to the question I have in my mind as a producer.
Soon I'll be getting a new midikeyboard with drum pads and I'd love to be able to place down my drums in realtime with them. Now, the dilemma I am having is this:
As far as I am concerned, and I am a new user of Pro Tools, I'd need a drum machine, or basically an instrument-plugin to use the midi-signal with the samples of my choice - And that's the problem.
I'd like to use midi indeed, but the problem is that,
either I'd need to record the drums seperately in seperate tracks in order to mix them seperately later on,
or I'd need to find a way to use my midikeyboard on 4 or more different tracks at once.
I hope this all made a bit of sense, so in short I want to record my drums on different tracks with my midikeyboard in realtime. Is there any chance of that becoming reality?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
