Hello,
I run Pro Tools 8.05LE on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8, Digi 002/003 Rack. For many years I have run Pro Tools 8 and have attached my Digi 002 rack via Firewire. Recently the firewire on my Mac stopped reading, but until diagnosing that issue I purchased a Digi 003 rack, that connects on my friends Imac no problem via firewire, however does NOT connect on my MacBook Pro or another friends MacBook Pro (10.5.8) that I have tested. I have tried 3 different firewire cables that work otherwise. Today I purchased a firewire to thunderbolt adapter, and my computer is reading the Thunderbolt adapter but still not the Digi 003.
This problem seemed to have arrived out of nowhere, and is on 2 different MacBook Pro's, 2 different DIGI002's and 1 DIGI 003, with 3 different firewire cables that otherwise work. My Pro Tools DOES load up with an MBox 2 connected via USB, but this only allows me 2 inputs.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!.
