Given all the build up to Pro Tools 12 and the general lack of improvements Avid has publicly announced (except for Track Freeze), I started seriously exploring two alternatives - Cubase Pro 8 and Logic X (I had used both of them for years, but still liked a lot of what PT offered). Cubase Pro 8 has been a revelation - once I set the key commands to map to PT's and customized the UI colors a bit, it is so killer. Steinberg has really put in a lot of focus on workflow and it shows. Similarly, I tried to mix a song in Logic and see what I would miss from PT - apart from the clip gain envelope...nothing really. It's great!
Anyway, this has caused me to reevaluate keeping PT 11 HD (upgrade from CPTK) - if I ever need PT (unlikely for my case), I could get the monthly subscription or something. Just wanted to confirm that I could still sell my PT 11 HD license right now via an iLok transfer? Will I be able to do this if I download PT 12 / accept the PT 12 license on my iLok (I believe I'm eligible for the free upgrade?)?
