Hey folks. Sorry in advance if this is super-dumb, but I can't figure it out.
Pro Tools, Windows, UNO midi interface all working fine. I have a Yamaha P95 (digital piano) with midi in/out and a Korg TR with in/out/thru. I want to daisy-chain both keyboards for input only (the Korg has a whammy bar, but the piano has much better weighted keys for performance).
So, I leave the piano on (default) midi channel 1 and go 'out' to the 'thru' of the TR which I've set to midi channel 2. Then 'out' of the TR to 'in' on the midi interface. Only the TR plays in Pro Tools and it doesn't seem to matter what setting or input I use. Why won't the Yamaha sound in this configuration with any option even though I have both keys all specced out in Pro Tools?
How can I use both keyboards for input (selecting one or the other from the Pro Tools track input choice)? Can anyone explain this or see something I'm missing? I've been searching and messing around all day and I can't find a solution!
Thanks in advance!
Simon
