Pro Tools 10 hangs while loading...

I have had Pro Tools 11 installed and running with the new AAX plugins just fine for months. Today I tried the co-install option, by installing Pro Tools 10 (I am running Windows 7). After installing PT10 I double clicked on the PT10 Icon, and it went through the usual "loading plugins..." however it hangs when loading in strikeaax.



(1) is there some registry key tweak or some other setting one has to do prior to trying to get PT11 and PT10 to co-install?



(2) I purchased the AAX version of Strike which runs fine on PT11 - is it normal for PT10 to load these aax plugins?
