Use Both optical and Coax MADI output

I have tried to search for this on the forum, but haven't found anything. As far as I can see the D-Show ouput audio on both optical and Coax MADI at the same time. I understand that it is not possible to receive on both at the same time.



My goal is to connect a recorder and a monitormix through MADI. In order to save some money on buying a MADI router, I thought of the oppurtunity to send the Coax to a MADI-USB device, and send the optical to a monitormixer. The output will off course be the same on both.



I want to send output from the recorder back to the mixer and use Virtual soundcheck.



Is this possible? Will i experience any sync issues?



I know that it is not a redundant solution, but that is not required.
