expand 2 drums and protools 10

Im using protools 10 and when I select expand 2 for my drums And use the midi controller to tap the kick, I want every drum on it;s own track for 4 bars I can't get it to play back in time, Im saying that if I tap the kick for 4 bars then copy and paste it the timing is way off. how do I set the click track to use with a instrument track vis midi controller. Here is the kicker, I have already recorded this way a few times and for th elite of me I can't get it to work again. Any suggestions?
