FS (EU): MacMini 2,6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 + Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP

This Mac Mini is the most powerful Mac Mini Apple ever built, because it has a 2,6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 CPU. Even the fastest Mac Mini available new today is a Dual-Core, so this machine is the perfect machine for Pro Tools 10, 11 and 12 (and Logic Pro X), unless you would buy a new Mac Pro

Info about the computer:

Mac Mini (Mac mini6,2 - MD388LL/A - Late 2012) - bought it in July 2013

• CPU: 2,6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 (overclocked by Apple to 3,2 GHz)

• Memory: Crucial 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2 x 8 GB (= maxed out)

• SSD: Hard Drive OWC - 240 GB Mercury Electra 6G SSD

• HDD: Hard Drive 1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 RPM

• Apple Logic Pro X shortcut keyboard (querty - aluminium) or Editor Keys Avid Pro Tools shortcut keyboard (querty - aluminum) included

• Apple Mouse (with wire, the box has never been opened because I use a track-ball), you can us a wireless Apple Magic Mouse via Bluetooth but this mouse is not included

• Thunderbolt-to-DVI-D convertor + HDMI-to- DVI-D convertor (so you can connect 2 flatscreens by DVI-D, flat screens are not included)

This Mac Mini is very fast due to the SSD 240 GB and very powerful due to the 2,6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 CPU. The SSD 240 GB is configured as start-up disk and has Mac OS 10.8.x on it, the HDD 1TB is empty. They could be configured as a Fusion Drive (so it shows up as one drive). This Mac Mini is still current and supported all up to Yosemite.

• frequency response: 20 Hz - 20 kHz

• noise (EIN): -124 dB (input loaded 150 Ohm) @ 60 dB gain

• distortion: 0.001% (-20dBu @ 1 kHz)

More info about this interface on Saffire PRO 24 DSP | Focusrite

This is the DSP version of the Saffire Pro 24, the DSP can be used to add reverb or other FX for monitoring purposes only during recording (especially on vocals) at very low latency, so the Mac Mini does not need to do this. But actually I never needed to use the onboard DSP, because the MacMini is so powerful it could handle the FX fine by itself.

Pricing:

Brand new this setup did cost me €2000,00 (including SSD and 16 GD RAM). It is in near to new condition, was only used in a few times in a smoke free studio. I'm selling it because I gave no use for it anymore

My price for everything, including all cables + free shipping in the EU = €1300,00

Important: no version of Pro Tools or Logic Pro X is included
